A Duck Full of Joy showcases Tim Rogerson’s distinctive visual language—an energetic fusion of cubism, animation art, and modernist colour theory. In this composition, Donald Duck is captured mid-expression, his trademark personality conveyed through exaggerated forms and bold, interlocking shapes.

The canvas brims with primary and secondary colours—sunlit yellows, deep blues, vibrant reds—layered into planes that both fragment and unify the figure. The angular treatment of Donald’s features, costume, and background echoes Rogerson’s influences from early 20th-century art movements, while retaining the warmth and humour of Disney’s original character design.

The scale of the piece gives it strong wall presence, making it ideal as a focal point in a contemporary interior. The archival giclée printing on canvas ensures depth of colour and fine detail, while the framing offers both protection and a premium presentation.

As a limited edition of only 90, Rogerson’s Disney Fine Art works have developed a loyal collector base, drawn both by the nostalgia of Disney’s characters and the sophistication of his painterly style. The title aptly reflects the mood of the work: a joyful, celebratory image that merges pop culture with fine art craftsmanship.

Born in Kissimmee, Florida in 1980, Tim Rogerson grew up immersed in the magic of Disney, with his father working as a show director for Walt Disney World. Relocating to North Carolina at the age of four, Rogerson continued to be surrounded by Disney imagery, sparking a lifelong passion for art.

He studied at the prestigious Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, where he majored in Illustration and was twice awarded “Best of Ringling” honours. Influenced by Edgar Degas, John Singer Sargent, and Malcolm Liepke, Rogerson developed a painterly yet abstract style, often using bold colours, stylised forms, and angular compositions.

Since graduating in 2004, Rogerson has created works for Disney Fine Art and commercial projects, while also developing his own “Cosmopolitan POP” series celebrating the lighter side of life. Named the Official Artist of the 2006 U.S. Olympic Winter Team, Rogerson’s art has gained international recognition among collectors of both Disney and contemporary pop-inspired works.
