Tay Dall is an acclaimed South African painter known for her vibrant abstract works that harmonize disparate elements through a unique blend of collage, ink, pastel, and pencil. Born in Cape Town in 1966, she began her artistic journey at age eight and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Michaelis School of Art. After immigrating to Los Angeles in 1988, Tay worked in the film industry and exhibited her art, eventually pursuing a full-time career.
With over 90 exhibitions worldwide and representation in more than 30 galleries, including her signature space, The Tay Modern-Hermanus, Tay’s work is sought after by numerous collectors. Since returning to South Africa in 1995, she creates from her studio in Hermanus.
