Fabian Perez’s Study for Eugie and Geo captures a moment of quiet intimacy between two figures, rendered in his distinctive style of dramatic lighting and textured composition. Seated on a richly detailed sofa, Eugie and Geo are bathed in warm, earthy tones and soft shadows that evoke a sense of calm and closeness. The interplay of light and texture adds a tactile quality to the piece, with the luxurious fabric and subtle gestures inviting a deeper emotional connection.
Perez’s characteristic blend of impressionistic brushwork and modern sensibility brings depth and elegance to the scene. The relaxed postures and expressive faces of the subjects suggest a private exchange, open to interpretation. With its refined atmosphere and emotional nuance, this work exemplifies Perez’s ability to convey the beauty of human connection through painterly grace and cultural richness.

Fabian Perez’s artwork is deeply influenced by his unconventional upbringing. Born in Buenos Aires in 1967, he grew up surrounded by the vibrant nightlife of his father’s nightclubs and bordellos. With his artistic mother and roguish father, Perez witnessed the glamour and romance of a world both passionate and secretive. These memories of stylish and fascinating characters now populate his work.
After losing both parents before his twenties, Perez began traveling the world, refining his artistic skills. During this time, he also discovered martial arts, a discipline that shaped the precision and dedication he later applied to his art.
Perez’s career took off in Italy, where his unique style gained recognition and fame. He eventually moved to the US, where his work continues to earn accolades. Now based in Los Angeles, Perez still creates new works and tours to engage with his ever-expanding following.
