Fabian Perez’s Saba at Las Brujas transports the viewer into a richly intimate and evocative world, a hallmark of Perez’s artistic vision. The piece captures Saba poised with quiet elegance against the subdued backdrop of the enigmatic Las Brujas, her presence exuding a calm yet magnetic allure. Perez’s mastery of chiaroscuro—the dramatic interplay of light and shadow—is vividly on display, illuminating the delicate contours of her figure and casting a warm, atmospheric glow that heightens the emotional resonance of the scene.
The textured richness of Saba’s attire, set against the smooth lines of the bar, adds depth and a sense of quiet complexity. The palette speaks in muted, sophisticated tones—deep blacks offset by warm, earthy hues. A glass of wine sits beside her like a silent companion, contributing to a mood of introspection and mystery. This moment, steeped in stillness, invites reflection and wonder, echoing the timeless quality of classic portraiture while remaining distinctly contemporary.

Fabian Perez’s artwork is deeply influenced by his unconventional upbringing. Born in Buenos Aires in 1967, he grew up surrounded by the vibrant nightlife of his father’s nightclubs and bordellos. With his artistic mother and roguish father, Perez witnessed the glamour and romance of a world both passionate and secretive. These memories of stylish and fascinating characters now populate his work.
After losing both parents before his twenties, Perez began traveling the world, refining his artistic skills. During this time, he also discovered martial arts, a discipline that shaped the precision and dedication he later applied to his art.
Perez’s career took off in Italy, where his unique style gained recognition and fame. He eventually moved to the US, where his work continues to earn accolades. Now based in Los Angeles, Perez still creates new works and tours to engage with his ever-expanding following.
