Fabian Perez’s Proposal XII captures an intimate moment with exquisite detail, drawing the viewer into a scene rich with emotion and atmosphere. Using his signature chiaroscuro technique, Perez sets a tender embrace against a backdrop of shadow and light. The woman, bathed in warm golden hues, is painted with delicate strokes that highlight the shimmer of her auburn hair and flowing dress, while the man leans in with a gesture that speaks of devotion and quiet promise.
The painting’s layered textures and dramatic contrasts lend it a cinematic quality, evoking the timeless elegance of a dimly-lit ballroom or the passion of a whispered tango. Proposal XII is a striking example of Perez’s ability to capture the silent language of affection, offering a deeply personal narrative that resonates with both emotion and visual allure.

Fabian Perez’s artwork is deeply influenced by his unconventional upbringing. Born in Buenos Aires in 1967, he grew up surrounded by the vibrant nightlife of his father’s nightclubs and bordellos. With his artistic mother and roguish father, Perez witnessed the glamour and romance of a world both passionate and secretive. These memories of stylish and fascinating characters now populate his work.
After losing both parents before his twenties, Perez began traveling the world, refining his artistic skills. During this time, he also discovered martial arts, a discipline that shaped the precision and dedication he later applied to his art.
Perez’s career took off in Italy, where his unique style gained recognition and fame. He eventually moved to the US, where his work continues to earn accolades. Now based in Los Angeles, Perez still creates new works and tours to engage with his ever-expanding following.
