Pascale Taurua

Pascale Taurua is a French Polynesian artist born in 1961 in New Caledonia. She studied at the Conservatoire of Art in Papeete, Tahiti, where she began her artistic journey. Influenced by her father, a carpenter, and her grandmother, who had a passion for fabrics, Taurua developed an early appreciation for materials and colours. Her works often feature elegant portraits of women, blending elements of fashion and femininity. Taurua’s art reflects her personal experiences and cultural heritage, offering a unique perspective on contemporary life.
