Mariusz Kaldowski

Born in 1962 in Poland, Mariusz Kaldowski graduated with an MA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in 1987. He moved to the UK in 1996, where he has made significant contributions as a painter, printmaker, and graphic designer. From 2002 to 2013, he was Artist in Residence at Regent’s Park and has been working with the National Trust since 2009.

Kaldowski is known for his innovative fusion of art and music, creating large friezes that visually interpret classical compositions. Notable works include “Four Seasons, Four Stages of Life,” which accompanies performances by the Polish National Radio Orchestra. His accolades include the 2006 Main Prize from The Artist Magazine and the Nina Hosali 1st Prize from the Free Painters & Sculptors Society.

With over 300 exhibitions, including more than 100 solo shows, Kaldowski’s work has been featured in esteemed venues like The Mall Galleries in London. He is an active member of various art organizations, notably curating exhibitions that celebrate Polish artists.

Currently, he divides his time between Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, and his studio in Orneta, Poland, continually exploring new techniques and styles to express his vision.
