Jennifer Hogwood
Jennifer hogwood was born in bedfordshire in 1980, and grew up with a great affection for the outdoors. she always loved creative pursuits while growing up; rather than pursuing a formal education in art, she taught herself the skills that would later lead to success.
Hogwood’s desire to beautify the world around her was what drove her to first begin creating artwork in earnest. some of her first canvases were completed in order to cover the drab, magnolia-coloured walls of the army quarters home where she was living with her husband.
After the success of her first pieces, she went on to develop her now-iconic animal works, including the famous “mcmoo” family, highland cows with a uniquely humorous and sweet appeal. she has since continued to find success with her various approaches to animal art. her work is sold through galleries and other stockists around the uk, and she has a gained a large following of collectors. hogwood now lives and works in wiltshire, and uses the natural beauty of her rural surroundings to inspire her artwork.
