Ernst Kraft

Ernst Kraft (Dutch, b.1952)

Ernst Kraft is a Dutch contemporary artist born in Bloemendaal, Netherlands, in 1952. After travelling through North and South America, he spent twelve years in Amsterdam before relocating his studio to Málaga, Spain, in 1989. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas and works on paper, Kraft’s art explores abstraction through dynamic movement, balance and structure. His expressive compositions often bridge architecture, sculpture and painting, revealing a deep interest in rhythm and spatial dialogue.

Beyond painting, Kraft’s practice extends into public installations and sculptural constructions, including The Labyrinth of León in Mexico, The Transparent Staircase in Málaga, and The Cube in Ostend, Belgium. His projects appear across Europe and Latin America, reflecting an enduring fascination with space, form and human emotion. He has also authored and illustrated books such as Paco Pulpito (2015) and Las crónicas del Kong (2016).

Today, his works are held in private and public collections internationally and are represented in several European galleries and online art platforms.
