David Reid

David Reid is a contemporary British artist whose practice spans watercolour, oil and mixed media, exploring the intersection between abstraction and figuration.

Active since the late twentieth century, his work reflects a lifelong fascination with human expression, rhythm, and the natural world. Reid’s compositions are characterised by their layered translucency and sensitivity to colour, often conveying emotion through movement and atmosphere rather than literal representation.

Educated and working initially in the UK, Reid has developed an international following with exhibitions and commissions extending across Europe and Asia. His works are represented in galleries including Watson Gallery in Scotland, and his paintings have featured in private collections and hospitality interiors worldwide.
