Cobi Moules

Cobi Moules is a painter whose work explores queer and trans desires through a reimagining of the American landscape. Raised in a small conservative town in central California, Moules uses his personal history as a lens to examine and disrupt traditional, often exclusionary, representations of nature and identity. His paintings engage with the legacy of landscape painting while inserting the queer body into spaces from which it has historically been erased, creating work that is both deeply personal and politically resonant.
