Alexander Hall
Alexander Hall is a British mixed-media artist acclaimed for his vibrant use of colour, energetic compositions, and bespoke commission work. Under the creative identity Haut de Gamme, Alexander produces emotionally resonant artworks tailored to individual collectors, brands, and institutions.
Since launching his professional art career in 2010, Alexander has built a distinctive visual language rooted in his signature “drip” technique—first developed during his school years—which reveals the structure and movement behind each piece. Working on canvas, linen, board, and beyond, he combines traditional and experimental materials to create striking, multidimensional works.
Commissioned pieces form the heart of Alexander’s practice. Each project is uniquely developed through close client collaboration, ensuring the final artwork is as meaningful as it is visually impactful. His commissions span personal portraits, interior installations, automotive-themed pieces, and large-scale commercial projects.
In 2018, InterContinental Hotels Group commissioned Alexander to mark the milestone opening of its 200th property. The resulting installation, 200 hand-painted champagne bottles suspended to form the number “200”, toured globally, showcasing his ability to translate complex brand narratives into memorable art.
Alexander’s high-profile clients include entrepreneur Peter Jones CBE, who owns over 20 original works. From classic Art Deco racing scenes to modern abstract compositions, his commissions always reflect an instinctive understanding of story, emotion, and environment.
His flexible, style-defying approach continues to attract collectors worldwide seeking unique, contemporary artworks that balance personal expression with creative excellence.
