Lee Campbell is a London-based artist working from a studio on Eel Pie Island. Using traditional oil techniques, her work blends mysticism, mood, and colour to reveal hidden dimensions in everyday scenes. Originally from New Zealand, she draws on the contrast between its sharp light and England’s softer, mist-laden landscapes—particularly along the River Thames.
Her paintings, often described as Mystical Realism, are influenced by the poetry of Robert Graves and shaped by residencies in unusual locations including science labs, churches, and boatyards. With over 20 years of international exhibitions, her work is held in collections worldwide.
Campbell has taught for Tate Britain, Heatherleys, and Kingston University, and welcomes studio visitors, commissions, and new residency opportunities.
